ICU DAYS RN NEEDED! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse for a contract position. This role requires a commitment to working 3x12-hour shifts during the day, with every other weekend required. Please note that floating may be necessary, potentially to Telemetry and Med-Surg units. Sunday night is not considered a weekend.

Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Skills Required:

• Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Central Venous Pressure Monitoring (CVP)
• IV insulin protocols
• GI surgery care
• Chronic/Acute Renal failure management
• Accessing Ports and Arterial line management
• Blood Product Administration
• Central line care/management and PICC line management
• Starting IVs and administering continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade
• Continuous IV sedation and emergency medications
• Procedural sedation administration
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• CVA/Acute Stroke management
• External ventricular drain (EVD) management
• Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun and ICP monitoring
• Management of lumbar drains, post-craniotomy, and post-neurosurgery care
• Spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care
• Assistance with chest tube insertion/removal
• Care of ventilated patients and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) management
• Respiratory failure management and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Ventilator management
• Infection prevention and isolation precautions/use of PPE
• Phlebotomy and care of surgical wounds with drains/Wound Vac
