Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU night shift position requiring an active MA RN license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital setting, primarily caring for medical ICU patients
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Must have flexibility to start 4 hours before or after scheduled start time based on department need
• Float requirement to the Extended Care Unit
• Uses Epic for charting
• Scheduling is based on unit needs; no block schedules can be accommodated
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days of the week

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Typical patient ratio of 1:2

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill patients requiring advanced interventions such as ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Must complete a Pass/Fail Tele test during orientation with an 80% passing score; only one attempt allowed, and failure will result in cancellation from the assignment
• Must also complete a Pass/Fail Medication exam at orientation
• Additional pre-start and orientation modules required, along with annual module completion
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
• Candidates must reside within a 200-mile radius for consideration
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
