Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring an active Oregon RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Details

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to adult pre- and post-surgical patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Night shift schedule with 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift
• Initiate computerized Plan of Care upon patient admission
• Agency nurses may be floated to other qualified departments before core staff are floated

Requirements

• Active RN license in the State of Oregon required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• BSN or MSN preferred
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
• CMSRN certification preferred
• CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist with transferring patients over 100 lbs using proper techniques or team assistance
• Continuous walking and standing throughout shift with occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching

• Assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response
• Provide age-specific, culturally sensitive, and psychosocially aware patient care
• Work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent exposure to infectious materials and emergency situations
• Participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to the position
• Support hospital mission, vision, values, and policies in daily activities
