Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring CA RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• ICU setting with a high volume of Neuro patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic EMR experience required
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM)
• Every other weekend required, plus additional weekends as unit needs dictate
• On-call required as needed
• May float to other units within scope of practice, including Summit or Herrick Campus, with shuttle service provided for inter-campus floats

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of RN ICU experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU care required
• Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CVVHD/CRRT, EVD, ICP monitoring, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care preferred
• Experience with hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun and FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex ICU patients, including neurological and multisystem organ dysfunction cases
• May be asked to float to different campuses with as little as 1.5 hours notice
• Holiday coverage required for one of the following: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
