Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 3+ years of ICU experience with strong neuro patient proficiency and at least one year of travel nursing experience.

Details

• ICU setting with a high volume of neuro patient cases
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Epic charting system experience required
• EOW and additional weekend shifts as needed based on unit demand
• On-call required as needed
• May float to other units within scope of practice, including Summit or Herrick Campus, with as little as 1.5 hours notice
• Shuttle service provided when floating between campuses

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required; CPI certification preferred
• 3+ years of RN ICU experience required
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency with neuro ICU patient population required, including CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, EVD, and post-craniotomy care
• Skilled in ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and management of acute/chronic renal failure preferred
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required

• Work within a collaborative ICU team supporting high-acuity patient care
• 50-mile radius rule applies for local candidate rate eligibility
• Former employees must have a 1-year separation period before returning as a traveler
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Re-orientation required only if separated for 6+ months since last shift at this facility
