Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Level I Trauma center requiring CA RN licensure and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
• Weekend rotation required, no on-call
• Floating required as needed
• Epic charting system experience required
• Level I Trauma Center setting
• Neuro and Surgical ICU work settings

Requirements

• Active California RN license
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• 3 years of ICU experience required, 4 years preferred
• CCRN and TNCC certifications preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central/PICC line care, and blood product administration
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory therapies (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC)
• Experience managing vasoactive and cardiac drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and interpretation
• Experience with CVA/stroke management, ICP monitoring, and post-neurosurgical care
• Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal failure management preferred
• ECMO and FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring experience preferred
• 2 references from supervisors obtained within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care to complex ICU patients including those requiring advanced cardiac, neurological, and respiratory interventions
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and acute conditions
• Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal and TAVR/valve repair care
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
• Holiday coverage required for one of the following: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
• Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers considered if all requirements are met
