Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an LTACH ICU night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and neuro experience.

Details

• LTACH ICU unit setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday schedule
• Weekends supported by rotating on-call staff (6-8 team members)
• On-call coverage after 5pm daily and on weekends supported by primary and backup techs
• 13 to 26 week assignment options
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating to other qualified units/campuses may be required based on census needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Neuro experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• 1-year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
• Experience with critical care skills including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with neurological assessment including CVA, stroke scale assessment, and traumatic brain injury care preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a long-term acute care ICU setting
• Deliver care to critically ill patients requiring ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex medication administration
• Perform neurological assessments and stroke scale evaluations
• Orientation occurs every Monday
• Annual compliance training and pre-assignment testing/modules required within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible for full travel pay rate, with reduced rate options for those 90-99.9 miles away
• First-time travelers not specified as eligible
