Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a VA or compact RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

• ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours schedule (19:00-7:30)
• 4x12 schedule includes overtime after 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Float required to other hospital areas such as CVICU/CVSD and Cardiac Tele
• On-call may be required for certain areas such as OT, IR, and Cath Lab
• EPIC EMR experience required, with class type based on prior experience level

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum of one previous travel assignment required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EPIC clinical documentation experience preferred, with training class determined by experience level

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing support within the ICU and be prepared to float to related units as needed
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31) unless a compliant exemption is submitted
• Smoke and nicotine-free facility
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted prior to assignment start, with holiday coverage expected
• On-call staff must reside within 30 miles or 30 minutes of the facility
• Floating is conducted in rotation with client staff in accordance with hospital and Joint Commission policies
