Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• Critical Care Float Pool unit including MICU, Neuro, and SICU coverage
• 13-week assignment on day shift, 07:00-19:00
• No blocked scheduling permitted

Requirements

• Active NYS RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS/ACLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• 2 years of recent ICU/critical care experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must complete ICU competency testing with up to 2 attempts to pass
• 1 professional reference from a supervisor or manager (not a charge nurse) dated within the past year
• US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Flu vaccine required unless a medical exemption signed by a licensed professional is provided

Additional Information

• Float across multiple critical care units as needed based on facility demand
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• More than 3 call-outs within the 13-week contract will result in termination, with required make-up shifts completed within 6 weeks
• RTO must be requested at the time of submission
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this position
