Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - ICU for a night shift float position requiring Level 1 ICU or MICU experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• ICU Float Position covering Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units
• 32-bed Medical ICU also licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split across 2 floors
• Patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 when acuity requires
• Cases include sepsis, ESRD, AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
• NOC shift schedule: 3x12s, 36 hrs/week (19:00-07:30)
• No on-call responsibilities
• 48-hour contracts will be accommodated

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association)
• 1 year of experience in a Level 1 ICU required, or 2 years preferred experience in a MICU setting
• Strong ICU background required; candidates with only 1 year of experience as a new grad may not be suitable for this unit

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medical ICU and neuro critical care patients
• Unit typically maintains strong staffing levels
