Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN with Level 1 Trauma Center experience for a Step-Down ICU/ICU float position requiring an active IL license.

Details

• Work across Step-Down ICU and ICU units with floating between the two required
• Day shift schedule from 7:00A to 7:30P
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• 4-week contract length

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification required

Additional Information

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members using the nursing process to care for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques and standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to support patients' longitudinal plans of care
• Apply critical thinking to patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Holiday coverage required
