United Staffing Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Position: ICU Stepdown RN - Neurosurgical (Unit 536)
Schedule: 12-hour rotating days, evenings and nights, 36 or 48 hours a week; weekends, holidays, on-call, call-back and charge per unit needs
Experience: 2 years; stepdown or PCU experience is a must, with high-acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience and telemetry required
Required: New York RN license only, BLS and NIHSS; ACLS preferred
Unit: Mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit with floor-level beds plus an 8-bed high-acuity stepdown for patients needing hemodynamic and neurological monitoring; teams specialize in brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular and epilepsy surgery
Duties: Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar and subdural drains, 3% saline and Cardene drips, arterial lines, carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling and clipping, deep brain stimulator insertion, VP shunts and seizure management
