Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Intermediate Care (IMC) Cardiovascular Unit position requiring a compact RN license and 2 years of experience.

Details

  • Work in a 20-bed high acuity Adult IMC Cardiovascular Unit within a hospital setting
  • Care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring using advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
  • Collaborative team environment with strong working relationships across hospital departments

Requirements

  • Active Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
  • Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
  • Willingness to precept required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Administer medications, fluids, and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders
  • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Follow strict infection control protocols
  • Participate in continuing education and training to maintain clinical skills and stay current with IMC practices
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
  • Local candidates accepted; a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate depending on distance from the facility
  • Candidates should begin discussing extension with their manager approximately 45 days before the assignment end date
