• Weekly Schedule: 36 hours per week, 3 shifts per week
• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and some holidays required
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Setting: Academic Level I trauma center
• Patient Population: Adult acute care and stepdown patients

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care Registered Nurse experience within the last 3 years
• Cardiac stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC, or telemetry experience required
• Experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center, or similar high-acuity hospital setting
• Ventilator experience required
• Transplant experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Willingness to float as needed
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to acutely ill adult cardiac and progressive care patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to support timely clinical intervention
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses, including pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, and post-lung transplant needs
• Manage ventilated patients and support advanced respiratory care needs
• Perform comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and ongoing reassessment of patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Support safe patient flow across general care and IMC-level assignments
• Float to other appropriate units as required by patient care needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical standards in Epic
• Contribute to a team environment focused on quality, safety, and excellent patient outcomes
