Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a PCU/IMC unit requiring 2 years of PCU experience and an active MI RN license.

Details

• 225-bed specialty care hospital with Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine, Women's Health, and Pediatrics services
• PCU/IMC unit with 24 beds
• Level 2 ICU with Open Heart program, Cath Lab, Neuro Surgery, Level II Trauma center, and CRRT programs
• Patient ratio of 1:3 for IMCU
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, vents, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Cerner EMR used
• Night shift 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No scheduled call, but may be placed on call if unit census drops
• Floating required on a rotation basis with other travel nurses
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (MI or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Preferred experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA

Additional Information

• Care for patients with post-open heart surgery, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU needs, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Scrub colors limited to galaxy, royal, or navy blue
• Hoodies and open-toed shoes not permitted
• Positive team player mindset valued
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
