Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) at a healthcare facility in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing expert patient care in a fast-paced cardiac and telemetry environment, supporting patients with various cardiac conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-procedure monitoring. The role offers opportunities to collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams and develop advanced cardiac care skills.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, with shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. Monday through Friday with every other weekend required.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association; at least 3 years of recent acute care experience in an inpatient setting with cardiac telemetry, arterial line management, and post-procedure monitoring; experience with charting systems such as Epic; and a minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty submitting to.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, LTAC (Long-Term Acute Care) experience, and trauma level I and II experience.
- Additional Information: The position requires passing a telemetry interpretation exam with strict criteria. Travel nurses may be required to float as needed. The unit is a high-performing, award-winning cardiac/telemetry unit supporting intermediate and general cardiology patients, with a focus on patient safety, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advanced cardiac therapies.
