Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Healthcare Professional for a position in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) located in the neuroscience specialty. This role involves caring for adult neurology and neurosurgical patients requiring telemetry and intensive neurological monitoring. The position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized neuroscience unit with a focus on patients diagnosed with stroke, central nervous system (CNS) autoimmune diseases, and neurological traumas. The assignment begins in mid-October and spans several months, providing continuity in a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). No specific experience requirement; open to candidates with 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 trauma experience.
• Additional Information: The unit is a 47-bed intermediate and acute care neuroscience unit caring for adult patients with complex neurological conditions including stroke, autoimmune diseases, and traumatic injuries involving the head, brain, and spinal cord. The unit holds numerous honors for stroke and neurological care, including recognition from the Joint Commission as a stroke center of excellence and a comprehensive stroke center.
