Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse (RN) position is located in a healthcare facility that provides specialized patient care. The role involves working night shifts in a 12-hour schedule. The RN will care for a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and cerebrovascular accident (CVA) patients. Prior travel experience is required for all Centra positions, and this assignment offers potential for up to 20 weeks to support staffing during the holiday season. The position also requires active VA or Compact licensure upon start.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications and education as required for RN licensure, VA or Compact License active upon start, one or more years of RN experience, prior travel experience, knowledge of Cerner Electronic Medical Record system, and experience with charge responsibilities if applicable
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an Intermediate Care Unit, charge nurse responsibility, and familiarity with the patient population such as neuro, cardiac, and CVA patients
• Additional Information: The unit strives for a 2 to 3 weekends per month schedule but may vary based on operational needs. Candidates will work with students and new hires regularly as part of a teaching environment. The client reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours prior to an assignment due to census fluctuations.
