Job Summary:
The Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare facility located in the area. This role involves providing specialized patient care within the IMCU environment, which includes a mix of medical-surgical, telehealth, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. The RN will work night shifts and participate in orientation sessions scheduled every other Monday, unless otherwise noted. Prior travel experience is required, and there is an opportunity for long-term assignment to support staffing needs during the holiday season.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications, Education requirements, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Active VA or Compact license required upon start.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge responsibility experience, Cerner EMR system proficiency, and experience working with medical-surgical, telehealth, or cardiac patients is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position requires limited request for time off (RTO), with the client able to cancel due to census up to 36 hours prior to shift. The unit aims to follow a 2/3 weekends per month schedule but may vary. The RN will work and interact with students and new hires regularly, contributing to a supportive team culture.
