Job Summary:
Infusion Nurse Vascular Access Team (MVAT) Location unspecified. This position requires an experienced registered nurse with specialized expertise in vascular access procedures, including mid-line and peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) placement using ultrasound guidance. The role involves assessing patient needs, performing ultrasound-guided line placements, troubleshooting vascular access devices, and providing expert guidance to team members within a hospital setting. The work schedule is primarily during the day shift, Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities during weekends and holidays.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS, minimum of 2 years of ICU or emergency room experience, proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system, must have mid-line and PICC placement experience, and ultrasound-guided line placement expertise.
• Preferred Qualifications: PICC certification and infusion experience are preferred.
• Additional Information: The position involves rotating between clinical responsibilities that include assessing patient needs for vascular access, determining appropriate device placement, and performing ultrasound-guided insertion of peripheral lines, midline catheters, and PICCs. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting vascular access issues and providing guidance to clinical team members. The successful candidate must be available for on-call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays for the suburban campus, with a response time of 30 minutes.
