Registered Nurse - Infusion Services Job Description: - **Join an exciting team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients!** - **CURRENT ALASKA LICENSE REQUIRED** - **Minimum 1 year experience in immunotherapy/chemotherapy specialty medications is essential.** - **Must have flu vaccine.** **Your Role:** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to infusion patients. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee patient referrals and coordinate follow-up for continued care. - Schedule and manage appointments for infusion services. - Document and communicate patient test results and treatment plans. - Monitor and report patient reactions to drugs and treatments. - Supervise clinic staff and ensure an efficient patient care flow. - Maintain knowledge of advances in oncology/infusion nursing. - Administer specialty IV fluids and manage IV access devices. - Educate patients and families about post-discharge care. - Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. **Education & Certifications:** - Current, full, unrestricted Alaska RN license. - BLS and ACLS certifications required. - High school diploma or equivalent. **Experience:** - 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred. - Specialty experience is a plus! **Knowledge & Skills:** - Strong understanding of nursing care plans and documentation requirements. - In-depth knowledge of disease processes and pharmacology. - Proficient in operating specialized medical devices and equipment. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. **Physical Demands:** - Regularly required to communicate, stand, walk, sit, and use hands. - Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. **Shift Information:** - M-TH 8am-5pm or M-TH 8am-5:30pm with a 30-min lunch break.
