Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various medical conditions.

Unit Information

• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Bed Capacity: 16-10 beds
• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1 to 4

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive care to patients diagnosed with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (TDM2), substance abuse, and encephalopathy.
• Administering medications and managing Heparin drips as required.
• Monitoring patient vitals and responding to changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educating patients and their families about health management and recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Contract Details

This is a full-time contract position with a commitment of 48 hours per week. The start date is as soon as possible.
