Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Rehabilitation unit requiring 2+ years of IPR and acute care OT experience.

Details

• Inpatient Rehabilitation unit within a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital
• Level II Trauma Center with a busy Emergency Center
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 7am and 5:30pm
• Possibility of 1-2 prearranged weekend days per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care OT experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Compact license not accepted
• MI state license required

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat hospitalized patients to help them regain physical and cognitive skills needed for daily living and safe discharge
• Facility offers cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedic, and elective surgery services
• Dress code requires olive-colored scrubs for the IPR floor, with some flexibility on other colors excluding navy or burgundy
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
