Job Summary
Inpatient Physical Therapist (PT IP) performs initial examinations and provides physical therapy interventions to a diverse patient population within an inpatient setting. The role involves working under supervision, participating in rotations across inpatient, outpatient, and acute services, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet patient rehabilitation goals.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current New York State Physical Therapy license, Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), 0-1 year of experience, schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends, minimum 37.5 hours per week.
• Schedule: 8:30 AM 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends if available (would then get a day off during the week).
• Additional Responsibilities: Performs initial examinations, establishes goals, plans and implements treatment interventions, and documents in a timely manner. Coordinates with other disciplines, trains families or care partners, recommends durable medical equipment, writes letters of medical necessity, participates in discharge planning, and attends meetings and clinics as assigned. Maintains therapy records, patient charges, and participates in supervision of students and volunteers.
• Additional Information: Will be assigned additional patients as needed to support staffing needs. Must be a current member of the APTA. Follows all organizational policies and procedures.
