Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a night shift assignment requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and teaching hospital experience.

• Inpatient Rehab unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Ability to float to other UCSF facilities within 75+ mile radius as needed
• Epic charting system used

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Inpatient Rehab experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Prior travel assignment experience within the last 12 months required
• Acute rehab and Neuro/Stroke unit experience preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within an acute inpatient rehab setting, including IV therapy, wound care, and management of neurological and orthopedic conditions
• Skilled care areas include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, total joint replacement, and tracheostomy management
• Perform patient teaching, fall risk assessments, and pressure ulcer prevention as part of daily responsibilities
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
• Candidates with prior employment at any University of California medical facility must disclose employment history, including dates, units, and manager names, for a rehire eligibility check
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager prior to start; no time off permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required, with no exceptions
