Job Summary:
The inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is located in Massachusetts. This role involves providing diagnostic and treatment services for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing, and related disorders in an acute care setting. The practitioner will evaluate, test, treat, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote functional recovery across a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
Job Details:
- Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
- Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Master's Degree in Speech Pathology; Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association; licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; one to two years experience with swallowing disorders preferred; adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the ASHA; maintains current CPR certification; demonstrates current clinical competency; good interpersonal and organizational skills

- Additional Information: The role requires administering diagnostic testing procedures to determine patient impairments and prognosis, establishing measurable treatment goals, performing treatment procedures with adaptation as needed, and documenting patient care objectively.
