Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for ER boarding patients in a high-acuity emergency department requiring BLS and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work on the Flex Team caring for ER boarding patients within the Emergency Department at a large hospital
• Large, high-acuity emergency care unit with 118 beds
• Highly diverse patient population ranging from behavioral health and boarding patients to critically ill/ICU-level patients
• Typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Mixed acuity cases including behavioral health, boarding patients, emergency/trauma, and critically ill/ICU-level care
• NOC shift, 3x12s totaling 36 hrs/week
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical care skills required
• Comfort managing complex and unstable patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical level nursing care to patients boarding in the Emergency Department
• Must demonstrate adaptability and strong critical thinking in a fast-paced ED environment
