Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit position requiring compact or OK RN license, NIHSS certification, and prior tele/neuro care experience.
Details
- Work in the Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit of a hospital setting
- 34 staffed beds within the unit
- Patient population includes bariatric surgery, stroke, acute respiratory failure, fall, aneurysm, and encephalopathy cases
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating required to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard/Compact or OK State license) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias preferred
- Experience with central line, PICC line, and port management preferred
- Experience with neurological conditions such as aneurysms, craniotomy, CVA, and intracranial bleeds preferred
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management preferred
- Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill matching current address (dated within the last three months) required for consideration
- Two supervisory references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide bedside care for patients with complex neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical conditions
- Collaborate with the care team to manage stepdown and intermediate-level patients
- Maximum of 5 days RTO permitted per 13-week assignment, with no holiday time off allowed
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Previous INTEGRIS employees must have at least one year of separation from the health system to be eligible
- First-time travelers are not considered for this position
- Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
