Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Step Down position requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Pulmonary Thoracic Intermediate Care/Step Down unit of a hospital setting
• Care for intermediate medical patients including high risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery cases
• Patient population ranges from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow respiratory support
• 12-hour night shifts, schedule varies 7P-7A
• 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience within the specialty required

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility, no local candidates considered
• Returning perm staff must have a 2 year break before returning as a non-local traveler
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer, cannot be requested after
