Travel Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (IMC RN)
Shift: 12-Hour Variable Days/Nights (Rotating Weekly or Every Two Weeks)
Contract: 13 Weeks
Join a fast-paced Intermediate Care Unit providing high-quality care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to Intermediate Care/Stepdown patients.
- Monitor telemetry, manage insulin drips, and care for patients with sepsis, GI bleeds, trauma, stroke, spinal cord injuries, chest tubes, and orthopedic conditions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient care.
- Float to inpatient units and nearby affiliated facilities as needed.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin or Compact RN License
- AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience
- At least one completed travel assignment required
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred
Assignment Highlights
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- 4:1 patient ratio
- Fast-paced Intermediate Care unit with telemetry
- Opportunity to float within the health system as needed
