Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit team. The ideal candidate must possess a current Illinois nursing license, along with certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. A graduate from an accredited nursing program is required, and education verification will be performed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act.
• Documents patient care according to established standards.
• Develops, initiates, and executes personalized patient care plans as prescribed by the physician and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
• Participates in departmental performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of patients' longitudinal care plans.
• Utilizes critical thinking in relation to patient safety and experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.

Shift Information

This position requires the following shift:

• 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS/BCLS.
