Description

American Traveler is hiring a dual Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 1 year experience and current ARRT and WA state license (if applicable).

Details

  • Dual Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology role in a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
  • Daily caseload includes coverage of 4 angio suites and 2 ORs per tech
  • 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times and variable days of the week, including weekends
  • Schedules posted in advance on the 15th of each month
  • Some weeks may require 8 or 10 hour shifts
  • On-call requirement of 4-5 call shifts per month
  • Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Uses Philips and Siemens equipment, PACS, and ultrasound

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • ARRT and BLS certification required
  • WA State Radiologic Technologist License required if applicable
  • ACLS and ARRT Advanced Certification preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Experience with neuro interventions such as stroke, coils, AVMs, and diagnostic cerebrals
  • Experience with cardiac procedures including STEMI, PCI, and diagnostic catheterizations
  • Experience with vascular procedures including run-offs, TEVAR, and EVAR
  • Experience with body procedures including CVC, drains, and embolizations
  • Proficiency with venous access, central line care and maintenance, and PICC lines
  • Skilled in angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, and vascular studies

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
  • Performs procedures across neuro, cardiac, vascular, genitourinary, and body interventional specialties
  • Works within a teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma environment
  • Facility-provided scrubs
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
  • Pending state license candidates accepted
  • RTO limited to no more than 6 days and cannot be requested during the first two weeks of assignment
  • Prior facility staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
  • COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
  • Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2-week pay period
