Job Title: Echo Technician - Interventional Radiology

Location: Santa Fe, NM

Pay: $2,150 per week

Shifts: 4 Days - 10 Hours (7AM - 5:30PM)

Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Echo Technician specializing in Interventional Radiology for a travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. Key Responsibilities of the Echo Technician
  • Performs technically proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams.
  • Coordinates activities with interrelated hospital departments, including scheduling exams, transporting patients, answering phones, and ensuring billing information is accurately entered for payment.
  • Assists cardiologist by preparing and measuring M-modes and exchanging pertinent information contributing to diagnosis.
  • Acts as a go-between to deliver, pick up, and distribute dictations in a timely manner.
  • Responds to patients' needs during exams and reports changes in patient condition to the physician or nurse in charge.
  • Orders Echo supplies and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of rooms.
  • Logs patients and exams and files patient records in the department.
  • Participates in Performance Improvement activities at various levels.
  • Maintains quality control of equipment operations and examination quality, coordinating repair services as needed.
  • Keeps current on advances in Echocardiography and seeks mentoring with cardiologists.
  • Assists with other cardiac procedures as needed.

Requirements of the Echo Technician
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a two-year allied health education program related to patient care is preferred.
  • A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required.
  • State of New Mexico Echo Sonographer License.
  • BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association.
  • Two years of actively performing echocardiograms is preferred.
