Travelers can enjoy a wine tasting, explore the local state and national parks, experience prehistoric archeological sites, tour Fort Huachuca, and take in the history of the Old West. **Local Rate: $ - candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered Travel** General CommentsUnit Profile Facility Name: Canyon Vista Medical Center Floor: 1st Trauma Level: III Position Information: Facility Department/Cost Center: Interventional Radiology 4200 Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): RN Specialty: Interventional Radiology Number of Openings: 1 Shift: 8-1630 Mon-Friday Weekly Guaranteed Hours: no Weekend Hours: no Call Requirements: Yes, approximately 2 weeks per month Required Certifications: Current RN License, Arizona RN License (or compact state license if applicable), BLS, ACLS Years of Experience: Minimum 5 years; critical care experience preferred Float Requirements: no Additional Notes: Position supports a growing Interventional Radiology program with expanding procedural capabilities. RN will provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care. Experience with moderate/conscious sedation required. Candidate must be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with physicians, technologists, and support staff. Opportunity to assist with development of new IR service lines and advanced procedures. Unit Information: Number of Beds: 5 Patient Ratios: 1:4 Equipment: Masimo monitoring systems, power injectors, ultrasound guidance equipment, patient monitoring and sedation equipment EHR: Cerner Supervisor: Jayme Clemons, Director of Diagnostic Imaging; Seydel Gonzalez, Clinical Supervisor Patient Population e.g. geriatric, adult, peds, etc. : Adult geriatric Hiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: Critical Care (ICU, ED, PACU, or equivalent) experience Conscious/Moderate Sedation administration and monitoring Interventional Radiology nursing experience Strong IV access and patient assessment skills Emergency response and critical thinking skills Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows Preferred Skillset/Experience: Previous experience in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology department Experience with vascular access procedures, biopsies, drain placements, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroscopic procedures Experience recovering patients after moderate sedation Familiarity with Cerner EMR PICC line and port management experience Experience assisting with advanced vascular and oncology procedures Common Diagnosis/Treatment: CT- and Ultrasound-guided biopsies Drain placements and exchanges Paracentesis and thoracentesis PICC and central venous catheter placement Port placement and removal Venous access procedures Arthrograms Lumbar punctures and myelograms GI/GU fluoroscopic procedures Pain management injections Embolization procedures (program expansion) Oncology-related interventional procedures Personality Fit: Self-motivated and adaptable Strong communication and teamwork skills Calm under pressure and able to respond to emergencies Patient-focused with excellent bedside manner Positive attitude and willingness to help build and grow an expanding IR program Comfortable working in a small community hospital environment where flexibility is essential Required Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Current Arizona RN License (or compact state license) BLS and ACLS certifications required Moderate Sedation Certification/Competency Dress Code: Scrub Color: Any Any unacceptable attire: Acryllic Nails; Hats No. of Positions: 1/1.
