Travel Interventional Radiology (IR) - $2,765 to $2,965 per week in Richmond, VA

Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an IR Tech and use your expertise to perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You’ll be responsible for the operation and quality assurance of film processing, patient monitoring, and x-ray equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 years of IR Tech experience with references.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
• Certification and registration with ARRT in Radiography. Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (R.T.(R)(CV)(ARRT)) or Vascular-Interventional Radiology (R.T.(R)(VI)(ARRT)) preferred.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Neuro-Interventional and neuro angiography required.
• Experience beyond basic peripheral access, lines, or drains required.
• Pediatric and adult patient experience required.
• EPIC electronic health record experience required. PACS experience preferred.
• Ability to scrub for CT procedures occasionally.
• Facility-specific proficiency with Philips imaging systems preferred.
• State radiologic technologist license required.
• Ability to work in a high-volume interventional environment and adapt to variable call schedules.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital.
• Shift: 10-hour days.
• Schedule: Monday–Friday with alternating day off.
• Call: Weekday call required plus rotating weekend call (Fri–Sun). 30-minute response time required. Call frequency varies based on staffing and vacations.
• Typical case volume: 10–15 cases per day.
• Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric.
• May assist with CT, ultrasound, and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Local candidates accepted. Floating to other facilities may be required as part of staffing flexibility.
