Job Title: Interventional Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year - Unit accepts first time travelers License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: Portables, C-Arm, Contrast, Biopsies IR Experience - REQUIRED: Ablations, Nephogram, Kyphoplasty, Peripherals, Biopsies, Hemodynamic monitoring Description: Contracted employee will scrub cases alongside an Interventional Radiologist. General Skills Required include Portables, C-Arm, Contrast, and Biopsies. IR Experience Required includes Ablations, Nephogram, Kyphoplasty, Peripherals, Biopsies, and Hemodynamic monitoring. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with rotational weekend coverage. Call is included as per departmental needs. Floating within facility/scope of practice may be required as needed. Clinical candidates will be reviewed to determine fit. If a clinical pass is achieved and meets guidelines, the candidate will proceed to the final decision. Maximum allowable time off is 7 days. If one major holiday occurs during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the delay is 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. No time off or schedule requests can be made post-offer or onsite. Holiday time off policies apply as outlined. Core requirements must be completed prior to the start date. Modules completed during orientation vary by specialty and are non-billable.
