Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Experience Required License: ARRT (R) with advanced certification in one of the following: Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) Certifications: BLS-AHA Must-Have: Recent Neuro experience; Neuro/Stroke experience; Skill in PACS, Contrast, and Biopsies; Experience with Siemens Floating Equipment Description: Schedule consists of 4x10's Day Shift (Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 17:30 with 1 day off per week). On-call requirements include two nights of call per week (17:30 to 07:00) and one weekend of call per month (Friday 17:30 to Monday 07:00). Candidates must possess the required recent experience. Certification in BLS-AHA and ARRT (R) with advanced certification in one of the following: Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV), or Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) is necessary. The role requires skills in accessing/managing ports, angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, carotid angiography and stenting, among others. Experience with neuro-interventional procedures such as stroke intervention and aneurysm embolization is required. Travelers will not be accommodated for time off during major holidays. Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 75 miles from the contracted facility. Nursing or allied licensure must be current and valid at the time of submission. Experience with charting systems, preferably Cerner, is desirable. Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff are not eligible to return to the same campus within a specified timeframe. Candidates related or married to other travelers cannot work on the same unit. Floating may occur based on policies and clinical experiences of the worker. All modules are non-billable and must be completed during orientation and annually.
