Description:
This position requires an interview for all automatic offers.
The technician will work 5x8 Days from 0600 to 1430.
Weekend availability is required.
Call is not required.
The technician may need to float between like units.
Guaranteed hours are 72 hours per 2-week period.
The technician may be called off for 1 shift within that period.
The average surgical case volume is 65.
The average daily tray volume is 1200.
We are looking for candidates with supply knowledge, able to pick cases, self-motivated, and great team players.
This department is unique as it functions as a teaching department.
The orientation consists of 3 days on day shift.
There are rotating weekends unless otherwise specified in the contract.
The facility is a Level II Trauma Center.
Total staffed beds are 571.
Scrub color is any, except for reddish-orange.
The charting system used is EPIC.
We specialize in Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and pediatrics, in addition to standard service lines such as URO, general, and GYN.
Technical skills required include:
- Accessing/Managing Ports
- Angiography of the genitourinary system
- Angioplasty
- Carotid Angiography
- Catheter/drain exchange
- Central Venous Access/Port Placement
- Various other interventional radiology procedures
Candidates must be proficient in maintaining a sterile field and have experience with C-arm, biopsies, and angiograms.
Every traveler should expect to float between various like units within their skill set.
Communication devices will be provided for performing duties as required.
Modules are non-billable and are to be completed pre-start and annually.
Time spent on modules is self-reported.
