Job Title: Neuro Procedural IR Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required, traveler experience accepted if qualified. License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission. Certifications: ARRT, ARRT VI, BLS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of experience in neurovascular and proficiency in procedures such as intracranial thrombectomies, flow diversions, and aneurysm coiling. Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and is not to be worked out onsite. Any cancellations or additional RTO on the unit may result in a termination of the contract. Preferred experience is 3-4 years in neurovascular procedures. Experience is required in a neurovascular IR lab. Staffing ratios are 1:1. Call requirements include one night during the week and every fourth weekend. Weekends span from Friday evening to Monday morning. The patient population will consist of adults and geriatrics. Diagnoses typically include intracranial aneurysms, AVMs, carotid stenosis, and intracranial large vessel occlusions. Special procedures performed include kyphoplasty, hybrid intracranial aneurysm clippings, and AVM embolization. Two biplane suites and advanced imaging technology are utilized. Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation systems is necessary. Travel candidates must be open to floating as required. Candidates are expected to maintain sterile techniques and prepare the room for procedures. Required skills include angioplasty, endovascular interventions, and thrombolysis. Candidates should be capable of handling surgical instruments and ensuring the proper signal flow of equipment. Ongoing education and compliance modules may be necessary prior to and during assignment. All candidates are expected to adhere to infection control standards and protocols.
