Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active state license required prior to start Certifications: ARRT R, BLS Must-Have: - Maintain a sterile environment while assisting radiologists in minimally invasive procedures. - Rotates call with a 30-minutes callback requirement. - Schedule includes every third weekend on-call and 1-2 nights per week. Description: The position requires an Interventional Radiology Technologist. Work hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a total of 36 hours per week. The daily caseload per technologist is approximately 15 patients. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility. Pending state licenses are accepted but must be active prior to start. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a Magnet designation and a teaching focus. The technologist will assist in a variety of interventional procedures including but not limited to nephrostomy, dialysis graft interventions, and stent placements. The role emphasizes strong skills in accessing/managing ports, and performing angioplasty and embolization procedures. Charting will be done using specific electronic systems. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism and conduct in a sensitive healthcare environment.
