Job Title: Neuro Interventional Radiology Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum years of experience required, neuro experience preferred. License: Virginia license required but can submit pending if licensed in another state. Certifications: BLS, ARRT certification required, ARRT advanced certification preferred. Must-Have: - Previous charge experience is advantageous. - Epic charting system experience required. - Call rotation based on staffing levels required, including 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 call weekend per month. Description: The position requires a tech rather than a nurse. Candidates must possess essential neuro experience. The role entails performing interventional neuroradiology procedures, including myelograms, lumbar punctures, arthrograms, and aspirations. It is in a stroke center environment with 24/7 call coverage. Staff support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. The candidate will handle various procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, embolization, and paracentesis. Daily operations involve working in a unit with three treatment rooms and interdisciplinary support. Expected patient demographics include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census and complexities will vary based on specific patient need and procedure.
