Job Title: Interventional Radiology Specialist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred License: ARRT R, BLS, TMB Certifications: - Military acceptable - AHA preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience: 1 - Required experience with charting systems Description: The position requires accessing and managing ports effectively. Accurate monitoring skills are essential. Experience in angiography of the genitourinary system is necessary. Competency in angioplasty and aortography is required. Candidates should have skills in catheter or drain exchange. Central venous access and port placement experience are needed. Care and maintenance of central venous lines is essential. Chest tube placement skills are required. Ability to perform cholecystostomy and dialysis graft interventions is necessary. Experience with discograms is preferred. Candidates should have embolization and equipment setup skills. Fluoroscopy experience is required. Gastrostomy and gastrostomy tube placement skills are expected. Inferior vena cava filter placement and removal experience is required. Candidates should be familiar with inferior vena cavagram. Experience in internal and external biliary drainage is required. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is necessary. Experience with mesenteric angiogram is preferred. Nephrostomy skills are essential. Candidates should be proficient in PACS and paracentesis. Experience in pelvic angiography and percutaneous hepatic angiography is needed. Candidates must be familiar with percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram. PICC line care and maintenance experience is required. Skills in prep access site are necessary. Pulmonary arteriography experience is expected. Radiofrequency ablation of the liver knowledge is preferred. Renal angiography experience is essential. Candidates should have skills in renal artery stent placement. Ability to function as a room circulator and scrub procedures is necessary. Maintaining a sterile field is required. Experience in selective visceral angiography is preferred. Siemens knowledge is necessary. Stent placement experience is essential. Understanding sterile technique is required. Experience with stocks and supplies management is required. Ability to perform superior vena cavogram is needed. Candidates should have experience in thoracentesis and thrombectomy. TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) experience is preferred. Ultrasound skills are essential. Experience in upper and lower extremity angiography is needed. Ureteral stent placement skills are required. Candidates should be familiar with the use of rapid response and code teams. Experience in uterine arterial embolization and vertebroplasty is preferred.
