Join our skilled imaging team as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Charlotte, NC. You will perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate and ensure quality assurance of imaging equipment, assist with patient monitoring, and support procedural nursing staff.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology technologist experience with references. Facility requires at least 2 years of experience.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or an accredited Radiology Interventional program.
  • ARRT registry required. ARRT certification preferred if not already listed by candidate.
  • BLS certification required. ACLS preferred.
  • State Radiologic Technologist license for North Carolina.
  • Procedure-based IR experience including vascular access, embolization, arterial procedures, and 3D imaging.
  • Experience with Siemens IR suites, SonoSite ultrasound, IVUS, Bayer/Medrad power injectors, Philips iSite PACS, Epic EMR and Epic Radiant RIS.
  • Strong communication and technical skills. Ability to work with ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations and to support anesthesia cases as needed.
  • First-time travelers may be considered. Radius rule: traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit.
  • Preferred: prior experience in high-volume inpatient hospital radiology departments and familiarity with radiology nursing collaboration.


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 07:00 - 16:00.
  • Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 5x8.
  • Standard hours per week: 40.
  • Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
  • Department profile: Inpatient census typically near full capacity; department averages ~8 procedures per day; no after-hours or weekend call required for this schedule.
  • Orientation and unit training provided per facility policy.
