Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician Profession: Interventional Radiology Technician Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:30 AM - 06:00 PM Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid State Radiography License Certifications: BLS certification, ARRT certification Must-Have: Candidates must be a graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology. ARRT certification is required. Valid State Radiography License is required. BLS certification is required. Description: The Interventional Procedural Technologist will support minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Responsibilities will include operating all imaging equipment, maintaining sterile scrub, and case circulating in the radiology and OR settings. Experience in neuro, cardiac, or vascular surgery is needed. IR experience should include diagnostic and interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, venous access, venography, myelography, abdominal interventions, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy, TIPS, and dialysis access/fistula work. The technologists work collaboratively with a team of nurses, advanced practice providers, attending physicians, residents, and tech assistants. They provide a cutting-edge multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Technologists will cover multiple clinical areas, including IR, CT-guided procedures, vascular surgery, cardiac hybrid procedures, endovascular neurosurgery, and endoscopic interventions. The IR Technologist supports both diagnostic and interventional procedures as described.
