Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Pending license accepted at manager's discretion Certifications: BLS, ARRT Must-Have: - Work experience with outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU required - Experience with PACS, C-Arm, contrast, and biopsies is required - Experience with stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, abdomen and pelvis, and upper/lower extremity is required - Ability to use and deploy pushable/detachable coils - Proficient with micro catheters and micro wires - Familiar with snare kits - Experience with injector systems, preferably ACIST - Epic experience is required Description: The position is for an Interventional Radiology Technologist. The shift is 4x10 days from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The candidate must be able to perform CT scans during IR procedures. First-time candidates are accepted. Call rotation is required, averaging 10 days per month, which includes a weekend. Candidates must be more than 70 miles from the facility to be considered. Requests for time off must be submitted with the application and additional requests after confirmation will be at the manager's discretion. Work experience in various procedural domains is mandatory. The technologist will perform various interventional radiology procedures while adhering to safety and quality protocols. Experience with hybrid operating rooms, mesenteric angiograms, and percutaneous transhepatic cholangiograms is required. Candidates are expected to have knowledge of central venous access and port placement. The role involves using specialized equipment and managing patient care effectively. The technologist should assist in maintaining a sterile environment and ensure compliance with all regional and facility-specific regulations.
