First-time travelers accepted. Minimum one year of experience preferred. Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts with call required. Call includes two full weekends in a six-week period and nine weeknight shifts. Required skills include Y-90 chemo delivery, management of GI bleeds, vein sampling, and cryoablations. Experience with biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, Peripheral Vascular, Pulmonary, CT, and Endovascular Lab is necessary. Candidates must float to other units for regular shifts and call coverage. The medication system used is Pyxis and the documentation system is Epic. Patient diagnoses include a wide range of procedures and conditions, ensuring varied experience. Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in various interventional radiology skills, including but not limited to angiography, catheter placement, embolization, and ultrasound-guided procedures. The unit cares for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, rapid response teams, and transportation. Team collaboration and adherence to sterile techniques are vital in this role.
