Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: IR Technologist Specialty: IR/Vascular Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 2 years of IR experience - Familiarity with EMR/Equipment: Merge, Cerner, Siemens Description: Prepare procedure suites and ensure radiation safety setup. Calibrate and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Pull supplies and set up sterile tables for procedures. Scrub in and assist physicians with procedures including device exchange, guidewire manipulation, and catheter placement. Deploy balloons and stents while managing radiation dose and imaging angles. Clean, restock, and perform room turnover tasks. Assist with sheath removals and other post-procedure duties. Participate in rotation for weeknight and weekend on-call shifts, approximately once every three weekdays and one weekend out of three. Respond to call within a 30-minute timeframe. Support hybrid vascular cases as needed. Wear provided scrubs and may use personal scrub caps. Complete unit/department-specific orientation with training and shadowing. All clinicians are required to clock in and out while at the facility. Additional duties as assigned throughout the course of employment.
