Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 3+ years of progressive Radiologic Technology experience required License: Permanent Ohio or Compact license required Certifications: - CPR Certification - ARRT RT(R) registry - ODH Radiologic License - ACLS preferred - ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) registry preferred Must-Have: - Strong understanding of human anatomy - Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records - Proficiency with Radiology Information Systems and image storage - Knowledge of advanced IR computer applications - Strong understanding of radiation safety - Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Description: The Interventional Radiology Technologist independently performs interventional procedures. They utilize proper techniques and the safe administration of contrast media. This role coordinates patient flow and supports IR operations. The technologist exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in optimal condition. On-call responsibilities are part of the role. The technologist will support additional IR-related functions based on departmental needs. The technologist must be able to work in the IR suite or IR procedures. Call required weeknights and weekends for 24-hour coverage.
