Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Experience: Minimum 3 years nursing experience, 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
License: RN License required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. NIHSST certification preferred.

Strong background in trauma and interventional radiology.
Experience with bedside procedures and circulatory skills.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment.
Description:
The facility is a 285-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and Level III NICU.
It has Magnet Designation and is a Primary Stroke Center.
Candidates will work with outpatient and inpatient radiology cases.
The unit handles diagnostic imaging and CT/MRI support.
They will perform all interventional radiology case types, including bedside procedures, drain placements, and biopsies.
The majority of cases will involve trauma patients and the team typically completes 10-20 procedures daily.
The standard staff ratio is 1 RN and 2 Technicians per room, but may vary.
Required skills include conscious and moderate sedation.
Candidates should have an ICU or ER background for trauma patients.
Cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience in procedural areas are essential.
Occasional recovery of patients may be required, though rare.
The call schedule requires availability for 7-10 shifts monthly.
Shift timings are 0700-1730 on weekdays.
Holiday work requires being on call for one holiday per contract duration.
Candidates must have the ability to work consecutive call shifts, if necessary, while ensuring proper communication with the Charge Nurse.
EPIC experience is preferred for electronic medical records.
Familiarity with various medical technology and equipment is essential.
