Description: This entry-level position works under immediate to general supervision and direction of a mentor/preceptor. The role involves delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to pediatric patient populations. The purpose is to aid medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of various conditions, defects, and diseases. Responsibilities include providing safe, high-quality, efficient, and patient-centric care and support services in multiple care settings. The technologist will prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams is essential to achieve clinical outcomes and service expectations. The position requires utilization of specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment and techniques. Post-procedure reviews must be conducted to ensure all required elements are completed and documented. The technologist will transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting. Operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory guidelines are required. Participation in continuing education, professional development, and research activities is expected to maintain competencies and promote improvements in care and treatments. Other duties as assigned will also be part of this role.
